About Weston Village BIA
The Weston Village BIA, established in 1979, is one of the oldest BIA's in Toronto. Situated in the north-west end of Toronto minutes from both the 401 & 400 highways, it is next to the Humber River with its extensive bike trail and walking paths. The Village has a rich and storied history dating back to the late 1700’s with many historical buildings still remaining including the beautiful Carnegie-built Weston Library which celebrates 100 years in 2014!
The business area reflects the cultural diversity of the surrounding community and consists of an eclectic mix of over 200 stores, services and professional offices. Included in that mix are 3 businesses that are over 150, 100 and 85 years respectively! And, we are proud of our many second-generation business owners who are committed to this community.
At the moment, Weston is going through some major infrastructure changes that are destined to contribute towards a very prosperous future for the area. With a revitalized GO train service and new station, along with the new Union-Pearson Express, Weston Village is minutes away from both Union Station (18 minutes) and Pearson Airport. As well, a Cultural Hub is being developed around our famous 35-year old Weston Village Farmers’ Market. Weston Village and the BIA are looking forward to a period of great growth. Why not join us?
